Lasdun : The New Michelin Restaurant in London

Inside the Brutalist blocks of the National Theatre, lies this buzzy brasserie named after the building’s architect, Denys Lasdun. The sparse modern décor is accompanied by an abundance of exposed concrete, while the cooking has the same seasonal British ethos as the Marksman pub, which comes from the same owners. A good dose of flavour is extracted from the quality produce, while several sharing dishes – like pies, ribs and roasted fish – are also on offer.

Seated within the iconic walls of London’s National Theatre, Lasdun is a modern British restaurant preparing elegant brasserie-style food from seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Our restaurant stands as a testament to Sir Denys Lasdun’s visionary modernist design and offers a beautiful setting for indulging in exquisite meals before catching a world-class performance or relaxing after a walk along the South Bank.

Nestled between the Olivier, Lyttelton and Dorfman theatres, our South Bank restaurant presents a glorious setting to enjoy lunch or dinner while overlooking the river Thames. Choose from our a la carte, feasting or pre-theatre menus, designed by chefs Tom Harris and Jon Rotherham.
