Men in Black Met Gala 2024

The Met Gala — aka fashion’s biggest night out — is a fundraiser for The Met’s Costume Institute, and is tied to the opening of its annual spring fashion exhibition. This year’s theme, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, pays homage to 50 historically significant items that are considered too precious to be worn again (thus, they’re being housed in glass cases, and yes, like Sleeping Beauty).

The dress code for the evening itself, The Garden of Time, comes from a short story of the same name by JG Ballard — and brought themes of chaos, destruction and of course, flowers.
